We are delighted to be able to share a short film created by residents and colleagues of some of the Camphill Communities across Scotland.
Some of you may already know about the Camphill organisations in the UK and worldwide, but for those of you who don’t, we would like to share a little flavour of the work that the Scottish Camphill Communities do. We hope you enjoy viewing this heart-warming video.
Camphill Scotland speaks about the film:
“Prior to lockdown, Camphill Scotland commissioned Media Co-op to produce two films to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Camphill, the unique brilliance of the work and values within our communities and the people who live, work and attend Camphill. Then lockdown hit and plans had to change. With the Media Co-op team no longer able to visit Camphill’s to shoot the film, they instead trained people within some of our communities to become filmmakers and to lead the project themselves. Thanks to the amazing efforts of residents and colleagues across Camphill Blair Drummond, Newton Dee, Camphill School Aberdeen and Ochil Tower School – along with the hard work of Jennifer in the Camphill Scotland team – we now have a final film which we are very proud to be launching today. It’s a short piece filmed at various points throughout the Summer, and I hope you’ll agree with me that it captures the essence of what it means to live in Camphill.”
